Coordination Compounds of Some Hydrazone Derivatives with Some Transition Metal Ions

Popis: Coordination compounds of isatin-3-aminobenzoylhydrazone (IABH), isatin-3-benzoyl and acetoylhydrazones (IBH, IAH) with copper, nickel, cadmium, zinc and mercury were prepared. The complexes were identified and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment and spectral studies, I.r. spectral studies suggest that IABH, IBH and IAH act as tridentates, coordinating via azomethine and the carbonyl group in keto or in enol forms and also as bidentates through the azomethine and a carbonyl groups.
