Popis: | The most emerging technologies of vehicular communications is vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANET) that has become part of intelligent transportation system (ITS) and wich is able to support a large applications such as: road safety, Comfort and infotainment applications. The routing mechanism is crucial in supporting ITS due to the highly dynamic topology that characterizes this kind of applications. In this paper, we study and compare a overall performance evaluation of seven ad-hoc routing protocols, including a position based protocol wich is the most functional schemes for VANET. Considering two types of data traffics and depending on certain metrics. NS-2 and VANETMOBISIM are used for performance evaluation. The paper shows the suitable protocol for Quality of Service (QoS) metrics and provides great information about choosing an appropriate routing protocol for large scale network. |
