Effect of Magnetic Field for the Circadian Oscillation in Plant Root

Popis: A plant circadian system is composed of a large number of self-sustained cellular oscillators that synchronize with each other to produce a strong output rhythm. In growing plant roots, a striped pattern of gene expression with circadian rhythms can be observed using bioluminescent imaging of gene expression. In this study, to clarify the effect of magnetic field for spatiotemporal dynamics of circadian oscillators in root, we investigated the influences of the stripe pattern in growing roots. We discovered the enhanced synchronization phenomena by the magnetic field in root circadian oscillators.
