Investigation of long period restructuring during orientational drawing of the copolymer of formaldehyde and dioxolane

Popis: The results of low angle X-ray analysis of the copolymer of formaldehyde and dioxalane (CFD) reveal the presence of a particular intermediate region during orientational restructuring of long periods. The region in question appears in the vicinity of 0–70% deformations, and is characterized by the extinction of discrete low angle scattering. The latter effect is due to the formation of new long periods (“orientational” long periods) under conditions differing from those prevailing during formation of the primary (“spherulitic”) periods.
