High Step-Up Quasi-Resonant Converter with Low Number of Components

Popis: This paper presents a soft switching high step-up converter. In the proposed converter, no extra switch and only few auxiliary elements are required to enhance voltage gain and efficiency, which significantly reduces the converter size and cost. The introduced converter decreases the circuit elements voltage stress and enhances the voltage conversion ratio by applying coupled inductors. Meanwhile, it uses quasi-resonant soft switching technic which employs the converter parasitic elements to achieve full soft switching function for semiconductors. Operating modes of the proposed converter are presented in details and the theoretical analysis is confirmed by experimental results. Finally, various features of the proposed converter are compared with some other recent and prominent counterparts.
