Popis: This paper revels a defected 2-D hexagonal lattice structure for large frequency range. The 2-D Plane wave expansion (PWE) method is used to investigate large frequency range. It has been shown theoretically that it is possible to obtain large frequency range by adjusting filling factor and absolute frequency.
