Popis: | When reviewing the species of Agapetus Curtis in eastern and central North America, we discovered previously unknown pores and ducts in abdominal segment VIII of the females. Evidence suggests that the pores and ducts are part of caddisfly colleterial glands and have a role in oviposition. Examples are described and illustrated for 26 of the 42 known North American species. |
