Popis:	The hitherto unknown larva of Odontocerum hellenicum Malicky is described and compared with O. albicorne Scopoli. Significant differences were noted not only in the number of gill filaments on the abdominal segments, but also in the coloration of the head capsules and muscle scars on the thoracic sclerites. The external part of the gonopod of abdominal segments VIII is a feature distinguishing the females of both species. The more conspicuous differences in the larva contrast with the very similar characteristics for adults of O. hellenicum and O. albicorne emphasizing the importance of holomorphology for systematic investigations.
