Popis: Nowadays, Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) have become popular because of mobility, lower installation, maintenance and ease of placement. The rapid growth in the deployment of wireless networks attracts the attackers as a target. Wireless link layer attacks target the lower layers of the open system interconnection (OSI) protocol stack to render the network unusable. Link layer attacks in wireless network are known as one of the weakest points of wireless networks because of unprotected management frames. According to these motivations, an approach that can detect and mitigate wireless link layers is proposed. The aim of this proposed work is to implement a network security system for wireless link layer attacks and to understand the patterns of these attacks. Moreover, Wireless Link Layer Attacks Detection algorithm (WLLADA) is also proposed by using active and passive finger printing methods to detect masquerading denial of service (DoS) attacks. Proposed algorithm is implemented with a real time set-up using in Kali Linux environment with python network programming.
