Popis: This work mainly focuses on grid-integrated roof-top photovoltaic system (RTPV). Since PV sources are unreliable and lack rotational inertia, they often lead to frequency and voltage distortions at the grid side. Using a battery is an ideal solution for resolving this issue as they maintain energy balance between the demand and generation, making the system stable. In this work, an energy management system (EMS) is designed for RTPV system. The proposed system consists of RTPV panels connected to the boost converter, inverter and batteries. An efficient power flow management is performed between the sources, grid, battery and load using EMS. Fuzzy logic-based proportional integral (PI) controller is chosen for the design of controller in EMS. The simulation is implemented in MATLAB software for various operating conditions.
