Numerical methods for calculation of geometrical criteria for the assessment of screw compressor rotor profile

Popis: The characteristics of screw compressors depend largely on the rotor screw part profile. Initially these parameters were calculated by using the laborious graphical analytic method which made difficult to analyze a large number of different profiles. The use of analytic formulas for calculation of these parameters allows analyzing profiles composed of identical sequence of curves that are distinguished by the parameters of separate elements. But in order to analyze the profile that contains other curves, it is necessary to perform again the laborious work for deducting analytical dependences. An approach for profile analysis based on numerical methods has been proposed. Their use allowed to develop a multi-purpose calculation method for the geometric characteristics of the profile.
