The effective boiler performance is determined by the efficiency of the boiler. The efficiency can be calculated by direct & indirect method. Various un-capture boiler losses occurring throughout the operating cycle results in gap between the efficiencies by two mentioned ways. The unburnt loss is one of the un-captured losses in boiler. This loss mainly consists of carbon which provides the energy through combustion. This unburnt carbon passes through the stack as fly ash & through the bottom tray as bottom ash in various forms like hydrocarbons, carbon Monoxide & Solid carbon particles. Offline lab analysis doesn't provide a real time picture of unburnt carbon produced & are time consuming & costly. It is generally agreed that online measurement of unburnt carbon is an important aspect for boiler monitoring & control. Many efforts are done in this field for developing such technique. We are adopting the method of secondary combustion of flue gas & the DIFFERENCE OF OXYGEN before & after combustion will be scaled into unburnt loss percentage. |
