Popis: | In an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) based wireless communication system, the magnitude of Channel State Information (CSI) can be incorporated into the soft-decision decoding process to achieve better error correction performance (2). However, with recent introduction of the Dual-carrier modulation (DCM) scheme in the multi-band OFDM UWB system, direct use of the conventional CSI-aided soft-decision modulation demapping is found to be unsuitable in this case. In this paper, the DCM demapping related issues are investigated. Based on a two-dimensional weighting strategy, a new solution for using CSI-aided demapping in a multi-band OFDM UWB system is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed technique can significantly improve the soft-decision decoding performance in this case. |
