Popis: | We have developed new complex-forming polyethers bearing alkyl side chains and have shown that high-quality, uniform Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films can be prepared. Measurement of electrical conductivity of multilayers has demonstrated that metal ions added to the subphase can be incorporated into the LB films and yield an enhancement in the conductivity of five orders of magnitude over films void of salt. In addition we have demonstrated a pyro-electric effect when alternate layers of certain polyether derivatives and amines are assembled. |
