Popis: | By FTIR spectroscopy in undoped and Fe-doped LiNbO3 single crystals of same origin and different histories it was found that laser irradiations in Fe-doped crystals cause the appearance of an OH− band at ∼3507 cm−1. This band is assumed to be caused by the formation of Fe2+(Li)–OH−–Fe3+(Nb) complexes via proton migration. This process precedes the microscopic structural laser-damages studied earlier. |
