Popis: Long chain saturated fatty acids with 16 to 22 carbon atoms induced fibrinolytic activity in normal plasma, but not in factor XII-deficient or glass-adsorbed plasma. A number of long chain unsaturated fatty acids caused non-enzymatic dissolution of unstable fibrin. Fatty acids did not influence the caseinolytic or esterolytic activities of plasmin, but some caused inhibition of urokinase-induced lysis of plasminogen-containing fibrin plates.
