Popis: | Since the virtual machine is a unit served to the final user in this virtualization service, assuring the responsiveness based on the priority is very important. Therefore, a study applying the priority to I/O request according to the priority of the virtual machine was conducted. However, these techniques focus on the responsiveness improvement of the virtual machine with the high priority, and if the network I/O request of the high-priority domain lasts for a long time, an excessive delay can happen to the I/O request of the domain of relatively low priority despite the low-priority difference or the starvation can happen. Therefore, I/O scheduling which can manage the delayed time following each priority of the virtual machine is necessary. In this paper, the delay restriction scheduling assuring the maximum delay time in the virtualization environment is suggested. We use bitmap to manage delay of network I/O request of each domain as their priority. The fairness is improved by equally adjusting the delay time difference among domain priorities by differentiating the maximum delay time by priorities. It was confirmed the suggested technique through the experiment was improved in terms of the QoS achievement rate and the transmission delay. |
