Popis: | The purpose of this paper is to present general programs for rotor bearing analysis using the Finite Element Method. A consistent representation of both mass and stiffness is used for the rotor shaft, while hydrodynamic bearings are calculated by solving Reynolds equation. Dynamic characteristics of these bearings are then obtained with a perturbation method. These programs are first compared with both numerical and experimental results from literature. We also study the influence of bearing characteristics on stability threshold and unbalance response of a rotor. |
