Popis: | Rhamnolipid is a kind of biosurfactant (BS) that shows unique properties compared to its chemical counterparts. The behavior of rhamnolipids mixed with various alcohols in pseudoternary mixtures (rhamnolipids/alcohol/n‐heptane/water) is explored. It is seen that rhamnolipids can be used to form microemulsions; the two‐phase and single‐phase microemulsions can be obtained using six various linear alcohols as cosurfactant separately. Meanwhile, the liquid crystal could also be obtained by using four of them, and the textures are investigated to determine the liquid crystal structure. Transition from Winsor I behavior to Winsor II behavior is observed, depending on the salinity of the systems. |
