Popis:	This is a preliminary version of a conceptional study how to employ the unique ELI Beamlines facility to start the work in a novel research area - laser-based positron science. The main aim of the presentation is to initiate discussion to the topic as a basis for potential broad cooperation in this branch of new physics. Three potential specific research themes will be outlined: (1) Laser-driven positron sources. (2) Positron beam interactions. (3) Pair systems and mirror matter.
