Popis:	This article reviews the various technologies in crossflow hydro turbines and the viability of installing Gorlov helical turbine in possible potential sites. The article also shares insight into the small hydro project and its current situation in India. Various approaches in simulation for the cross-flow turbine are also evaluated. Also, various design approaches to Gorlov helical turbine are outlined with simulation. Much care is taken to introduce various experimental data regarding the output characteristics of the Gorlov helical turbine.
