Popis: | Treatment of rats with dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DEAS) at doses of 1, 5, and 30 mg/kg were found to block cold-induced increases in blood aldosterone levels, though the effect was not dose-dependent in conditions of repeated cold exposure. This effect of DEAS involved μ opioid receptors. The blocking effect of DEAS (30 mg/kg) was also seen with single episodes of cold exposure, but without the involvement of μ opioid receptors. |
