Nowadays, systems are being created that can replace (fully or partially) human train control with artificial. Such problematic is included in the project "ATO over ETCS" (ATO). The aim of this project is to develop a pilot information system that will guide train in consideration of travel schedule in real-time. There are two main parts of ATO: unit located in the train and server part. Parts use the UNISIG protocol for communication which was specially designed for the needs of the project. We design architecture, services and their individual components of the server part. Also, we make an analysis of systems used in a railway environment and its data sources, design communication between such systems, design algorithms for this data processing so they can be used in ATO communication. Actually, the project is in the phase of laboratory tests. The next phase will be the verification of ATO in real-world railway track. |
