Popis:	This article recounts the historical development of the endoscopic surgical management of stage I and stage II glottic cancer. The indications and surgical approach to treating stage I cancer and the rationale for extending the original limitations to the endoscopic treatment of highly selected stage II glottic cancers is described. The indications, technique, and outcomes of the endoscopic treatment of stage II glottic cancer are also presented.
