Popis: Pediculaster copridis sp. n. and P. luriei sp. n. were collected from Musca confiscata Speiser (Diptera: Muscidae) and Norrbomia marginatis Adams (Diptera: Sphaeroceridae) from cow dung in South Africa. P. copridis is morphologically similar to P. hematobii Mahunka, 1981 and P. brasiliensis Mahunka, 1970, while P. luriei resembles P. gautengensis Camerik 1996 and P. morelliae Rack, 1975. Using a Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope (CLSM), 3-D images of the pharyngeal pump system were taken by the junior author. Besides the traditionally used taxonomic characteristics, shapes of these pumps are included to distinguish between the latter three species. The legs of the previously described species, P. hematobii and P. brasiliensis, are redrawn in order to allow adequate comparisons.
