Analysis of changes in the shape of electroelastic bodies under electric potential applied to piezoelectric elements

Popis: In this paper, for the implementation of control of the dynamic behavior of the structure, a study is made to demonstrate the influence of piezoelectric element location on the structure and the possibility of changing the structure shape under the applied electrical signal generating the largest mechanical response. As an illustration, we present the results of simulation of changes in the shape of a cantilever-clamped plate, which have been obtained by solving the static problem and the problem of natural oscillations of electroelastic bodies with one, three or five piezoelectric elements under applied electric potential.
