The guilt of the victim plays an important role as a trigger for a criminal act. This role can appear through a provocative or an incentive action, or even through cooperative behaviour. The theorists and the practitioners have developed two different views on this topic, some are in favor of the idea that the actions of the victims are justifiable regardless of what type of behaviour they have exhibited, others request the punishment of the victims in case they exhibited an amoral or illegal behaviour. Both groups have convincing arguments, despite them being contradictory. |
