Prompted by the Letter to the Editor (Motorin, 1996), we have rechecked the old autoradiographic films (Vilalta et al., 1993). Our sequence entry in the GenBank has been corrected accordingly. The misalignments at nucleotides #1253 and #2904 were confirmed by re-sequencing our cDNA clones described by Vilalta et al. (1993). In addition, we are in the process of sequencing the G7 clones (Hsieh and Campbell, 1991) that were kindly provided by Dr. R. Duncan Campbell (Oxford University). Our preliminary data suggest the presence of cDNA polymorphism. This new sequence information will be deposited into the GenBank when the sequencing is completed (see GenBank accession No. M98326; Vilalta et al., 1993). |
