This study proposes a non-isolated high gain DC-DC converter designed for renewable energy DC micro grid possessing few advantageous features like reduced voltage stress on the switches and ripple free current. The proposed converter is derived from a two- phase interleaved boost converter. The gain extension of the two phase interleaved converter is achieved by using coupled inductor (CI) and diode capacitor multiplier. The gain extension technique helps in reducing voltage stress on the switches. The voltage stress on switches is reduced to 15% of output voltage. The proposed concept is validated by conducting experiments on 18V-240V, 60W prototype converter. Under experimental condition, the converter prototype was able to provide a voltage conversion ratio of 13.333 at a full load efficiency of 94.4%. |
