Popis: The present project investigates differences in recognition memory for lists of words that are either studied silently, read aloud, or signed in American Sign Language (ASL). The research question of interest is how producing a word by speech or through signing impacts a person's memory during study. Additionally, we investigated the role of language fluency in ASL by including participants who were currently enrolled in a first- or third-year ASL course.
