With the increase of water cut and the application of polymer flooding process in oilfield, the treatment of polymer-flooding-produced-water (PFPW) has become a major problem. The traditional treatment technologies face the challenges of health, environmental protection and economic issues. The dissolved-air flotation process employs microbubbles as carrier to make the oil droplets adhere to each other, and a floating body with a lower density than that of the produced water phase can be formed. However, the effect of polymer concentration on process performance and the optimal operation parameters are not well understood. |
