Popis:	Ammonium salts bearing but-2-ynyl and phenacyl or 2-(naphth-2-yl)-2-oxoethyl moieties at the nitrogen atom underwent Stevens rearrangement to form substituted furan-3-amines. Quaternization of the latter afforded appropriate iodomethylates.
