Popis:	Summary. Analysis of data from events well recorded by ocean-bottom seismographs on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge near 45° N, indicates that most activity is centrally placed beneath the median valley floor. The results suggest a lithospheric thickness of 8 km under the median valley floor. The spatial and temporal behaviour of the largest swarm observed is indicative of active magma intrusion.
