Popis: | Several investigators have found evidence of surfactant abnormalities in patients with ARDS (Asbaugh et al. 1967; Hallman et al. 1982; Petty et al. 1977). This raises the possibility that lowering intra-alveolar surface tension by surfactant administration might improve the gas exchange disturbances, abnormal mechanics and increased permeability that characterize acute lung injury. |
