Popis:	Favus is an uncommon pattern of dermatophytic infection of the scalp, glabrous skin and nails. We report the first documented case of favus of the scalp caused by Microsporum canis in an immunocompetent 8-year-old girl. The classic and various atypical clinical presentations of favus are discussed, as well as a brief review of the literature given.
