Popis: | SUMMARY This paper presents a design procedure of a flux–switch synchronous machine for an aircraft oil breather application. This work is part of a European project called ‘Power Optimised Aircraft’. The aim of this project is to replace some mechanical equipment by electromechanical devices to improve performance and reduce power consumption. The structure under study was developed at SATIE laboratory and it is based on the flux-switch principle. The permanent magnets are located in the stator, and the rotor is entirely passive. The study described in this paper is limited to the electromagnetic design. Copyright # 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
