| Popis: | A new species Rhynchohyalus parbevs sp. nov. from the Southeast Pacific, which differs from R. natalensis in the greater number of gill rakers, the relative position of the fins, and the absence of pigmentation of the adipose fin. Based on our own and literature data, the variability of a number of diagnostically significant characters in R. natalensis was discussed. The capture of this species in the Indian Ocean is reported for the first time. |
