Popis: Female breast size is an essential parameter to the designing, production, and selection of bra. To determine thoracic dimensions, designers use manual measurement with a ruler or 3D measurement with measuring devices. In Vietnam, the research and development of 3D measuring devices to serve the design and manufacture of clothing is still new and limited. This article presents the results of the study on designing and manufacturing the Scan3D MB2019 female breast measurement system. This device operates based on using the structured light method, white light source (creating from 3 combined R-G-B LED sources), which is not harmful to human eyes and skin, with a measurement accuracy of ±0.4 mm, and measuring-scanning range 800 ×1000 × 600mm (length × width × depth).
