Smart Sustainable City is an ICT-based integrated governance concept to efficiently manage city resources that is expected to be an answer to problems in increasingly complex and multidimensional city management. However, in the application of intelligent cities, several critical issues must be resolved immediately, including the factor of human resources that are still less competent, inefficient governance and ICT policies, lack of government dedication, and low participation of stakeholders and the society. This paper explores the main factors influencing the progress of intelligent city adoption in Indonesia. The approach adopted includes the E-Government Services Effectiveness Evaluation Framework (E-GEEF), a highly comprehensive model for technology adoption in the measurement of information technology adoption. Data collection using Purposive and stratified random sampling was conducted by collecting questionnaires from 288 service users and smart city stakeholders in Madura Island. Data analysis with the support of AMOS 23 software was conducted using typical structural equation modeling. The results of this study show that the building elements of the E-GEEF model have a significant partnership, which is beneficial to the adoption of Smart Sustainable City. This research contributes to the adoption of the model of the relationship between critical factors that affect technological adoption in Smart Sustainable City and recommends policymakers and local authorities to pay more attention to issues that influence successfully implementing Smart Sustainable City. |
