Popis: Lithium salts possess dissociating properties that are useful for passivation layer formation. In this study, these properties are investigated in the context of three kinds of linear carbonate electrolytes using several techniques, such as physical properties, AC impedance, electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The lithium salts are completely dissociated to the lithium ions by the unsymmetrical linear carbonate structure; therefore, the transference number and diffusion coefficient of the cations show that the lithium ions are important and dominate the ionic transfer and the passivation layer properties that are important and relate to battery performance. These data suggest that battery performance is influenced by ionic transfer properties, lithium salt and electrolyte structure.
