Popis: It was found possible to use results about the volume of elementary nucleus and the distance d101 between the layers to evaluate the soichiometric composition of hydrated crystals of alkali cellulose. It was found that in alkali cellulose with a distance between the layers of d101 = 15·1 A the hydrated crystal contains 6 to 8 molecules of water of crystallization in terms of the glucoside residue.
