Popis: X-ray attenuation coefficients have been measured with a view to ascertaining the magnitude of the nuclear contribution to the total absorption coefficient in the energy range 10 to 25 Mev. The measurements have also yielded values of electronic x-ray absorption coefficients which may be usefully compared with theoretically predicted values. This method involves the measurement of x- ray induced residual activity in various samples, with and without an absorber shielding them from the betatron beam. Measurements were made on water, Be, Al, and C. (A.C.)
