Popis:	Parks’ classification has been widely used for more than four decades. The classification is popular due to its simplicity and ease of use. However, critical appraisal of this classification reveals two major shortcomings. Firstly, this classification is too simple and does not differentiate between high and low types of transphincteric fistula. Secondly, this classification includes suprasphincteric and extrasphincteric types, which are very rare and mostly iatrogenic sequelae.
