In view of recent progress in solar CNO neutrino observations, the destruction of 13N, 15O, 17F, and 18F nuclides in the solar core plasma that may affect the neutrino flux is studied. For this purpose, the rates of nuclide breakup induced by energetic protons and α-particles born in solar reactions are calculated. It is obtained that these rates can be comparable with or even exceed the rates of nuclide burnup through some reactions with the most abundant plasma element. Nevertheless, the breakup processes are significantly weaker than the nuclide decays releasing neutrinos, so they cannot change the CNO neutrino flux. |
