The non-ionic carbamoyl-carbonyl complexes π-C 5 H 5 Fe(CO)L(CONH 2 ) (L = CO, PPh 3 , PEt 3 ), (π-C 5 H 4 -CHPh 2 )Fe(CO)L(CONH 2 ) (C 5 H 4 -CHPh 2 = diphenylmethyl-π-cyclopentadienyl; L = CO, PPh 3 ) and (π-C 7 H 8 -CPh 3 )Fe(CO) 2 (CONH 2 ) (C 7 H 8 -CPh 3 = triphenylmethyl-π-cycloheptadienyl) have been prepared by the reaction of [π-C 5 H 5 Fe(CO) 2 L] + (L = CO, PPh 3 , PEt 3 ), [(π-C 5 H 4 -CHPh 2 )Fe(CO) 2 L] + (L = CO, PPh 3 ) and [(π-C 7 H 8 -CPh 3 )Fe(CO) 3 ] + in liquid NH 3 . The corresponding isocyanato complexes have been obtained by the oxidative degradation of the above compounds with I 2 . The properties of the new compounds are described and their structures are discussed on the basis of IR and mass spectral data. |
