Popis: 1. 1. Two cases of successful replantation of amputated arms are presented. In both cases the replantation procedure was started in less than two hours after amputation and the arterial circulation was restored in less than five hours. 2. 2. The continuous arteriovenous flushing and the manual “milking” maneuver are important steps before vascular re-establishment. 3. 3. The arterial anastomosis performed first permits early revascularization of the extremity. 4. 4. We favor delayed nerve suturing rather than primary repair, especially when the nerve cut is not clean, making it impossible to estimate the amount of nerve damage. 5. 5. Despite the long rehabilitation of these patients with replanted arms, the final result makes the attempt at replantation absolutely essential.
