Popis:	Geological field relationships demonstrate that the principal orogeny in the Northern Appalachians was the Acadian orogeny in Devonian time, and that events culminating in the Late Ordovician (Taconic) disturbance were precursors of the Acadian orogeny in the Appalachian geotectonic cycle.
