Genetic diversity of elite sweet sorghum genotypes assessed by SSR markers

Popis:	To determine genetic diversity among 47 elite sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor ssp. bicolor L.) genotypes, 46 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers evenly distributed on all 10 chromosomes were selected. All SSR markers used were polymorphic among the genotypes studied. A total of 228 alleles were identified with an average of 4.96 alleles per marker. Furthermore, the genotypes studied showed medium genetic diversity. Clustering analysis grouped the 47 genotypes into 5 distinct clusters.
