In this paper the results of an analysis of the theoretical and experimental static V-I characteristics of the cylindrical diode structures with the indirectly heated cathode are presented. It is shown that at the anode voltages, exceeding some limiting values (U a > U a lim), there is the spontaneous growth of the anode current. It was established experimentally that the considerable rise of the anode current in this case can be associated with the electron-stimulated desorption of the positive charged ions. As a result, the growth of the anode current and considerable increasing the temperature of anode surface took place in the diode structures. |
