Popis: | For prolonged time, PLANSEE is pursuing the development as well as production of metallic interconnect materials and components for planar SOFCs based on its core know-how of powder-metallurgical (P/M) processing of high performance materials. Several P/M processing techniques are suitable to produce SOFC interconnects made of ODS Cr-and FeCr-alloys. The properties of these interconnect materials are comprehensively described in comparison to commercially available ferritic steals by acknowledging typical SOFC operation requirements. Whereas Cr-based interconnects have proven to be a metallic benchmark material in high temperature SOFCs (900-1000°C), emphasis is also laid on the utilization of advanced ODS ferritic P/M alloys for intermediate temperature SOFCs (700-900°C) applications. Additionally, examples of components and applications in pre-series SOFC systems are given. In , it is shown that the chosen P/M processing technology offers multiple benefits and significant advantages with regard to alloy design, interconnect performance, as well as potential of cost efficient volume production of metallic SOFC interconnects. |
